Technology

Our school’s mission includes student understanding and mastery of technology. We at the American School of Fes – Amicitia seek to provide every classroom and every individual student with the technology necessary to facilitate 21st century education. Additionally, we recognize that technology is no longer simply a component of learning, but a field for learning within itself. Our elementary technology curriculum is designed to specifically facilitate growth in this area of knowledge.

Students take technology classes as part of their core curriculum from 1st through 5th grade. They are introduced to basic hardware and software through a rigorous but developmentally-appropriate curriculum designed by our IT Director. Upper grades will soon be offered programming and graphic design electives to better prepare them for university-level classes in the technology field. All students have access to a technology specialist that can help them with presentations, publishing, and other complex tasks needed for success in their other classes.
