Student Clubs and Extracurricular Activities

The American School of Fes – Amicitia encourages students of all ages to get involved in extracurricular activities. Student-initiated and student-run clubs are designed, created, managed, and grown by students working towards a common goal. Involvement in these clubs foster leadership skills, provide students with the opportunity to work collaboratively with peers, teachers, and stakeholders outside of the school, allow for students to develop their communicative skills, and community involvement.
Some of the current student clubs and extracurricular activities include:

  • · Student Council
  • · Debate
  • · Model United Nations
  • · Theater
  • · Amicitia Jaguars Community Service Club
  • · American School Amicitia Charity Club
  • · Interact (Rotary Sponsored Club)

If a student wants to join a club, they are required to attend all club meetings and to participate in a minimum of two club projects per year. We encourage all students to attend our annual Student Clubs Fair, which takes place at the beginning of November, to get more information from clubs and to sign up to be a member.
If a student is interested in starting a club, they must adhere to the following procedure:

  • Find a faculty supervisor
  • Find a minimum of 5 student members
  • Elect a president and board members
  • Create a description of your club, including its purpose and its mission
  • Make sure that the policies of the club don’t contradict the school policies
  • Have the form signed by administration
