Philosophy

Learning through collaboration.

Our elementary school is designed to facilitate collaborative learning. Elementary students are ferocious learners in the correct learning environment: if they feel nurtured, safe, and encouraged, they are able to learn effectively while enjoying the process. When both teachers and peers are encouraging, the excitement of learning is contagious. We recognize the learning potential of this group and strive to create a safe environment for learning in each of our classrooms. Our system is unique in this regard.

Successful collaboration is based in positive relationships. Our teachers work hard to know and understand each individual child, in order to meet their unique educational needs, and actively enable that student to be successful in the classroom. This relationship-building ensures that every child will feel safe and supported when they come to school, further motivating them towards growth and learning. We also work towards relationship-building among peers by focusing on character development; we focus on personal responsibility, integrity, hard work, honesty, and consideration of others before yourself.
